In addition to her connection to Dodgson's novel, Alice also had a romantic interest of her own. She married Reginald Hargreaves, a cricketer, on September 15, 1880, at the age of 28 in Westminster Abbey. Her funeral was attended by Prince Leopold, who served as a pall-bearer.

Despite her association with Dodgson's novel, Alice Liddell remained a private person throughout her life. She had two sons and a daughter, and lived a quiet life away from the public eye. Today, she is remembered as a fascinating figure in literary history, and her connection to 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' continues to captivate readers around the world.
